Toulouse, famous for its pink brick facades that have earned it the nickname of the "Pink City", is a city where art and culture are constantly reinventing themselves. This year, a unique event is set to leave its mark on the city in an unprecedented way The Guardian of the Temple". On 25, 26 and 27 October, Toulouse will be transformed into a huge open-air stage to welcome this extraordinary event.. Let's dive into this artistic adventure together and find out why you won't want to miss this event.

A large-scale open-air show

Created by the street theatre company La Machine, "Le Gardien du Temple" is a monumental event at the crossroads of art, history and technology. Through an immersive artistic journey, giant mechanical creatures, veritable moving works of art, will wander through the streets of Toulouse. These impressive constructions, which combine engineering and street art, invite spectators to rediscover the city from a new angle.

The concept of this show is simple, but powerful: to bring the city to life as an open temple, where every street and every monument becomes a sacred element in this gigantic staging. La Machine is famous for its monumental creations, notably 'Le Grand Éléphant' in Nantes, and promises an unforgettable experience.

An immersive artistic journey through the streets of Toulouse

For three days, Toulouse will be transformed into a huge open-air theatre stage. The Gardien du Temple route will take spectators through some of the city's most emblematic sites. From the Place du Capitole to the Basilique Saint-Sernin, via the Quai de la Daurade and the Jardin des Plantes, each location will be integrated into the story and choreography of the giant creature.

Spectators will be able to follow the creature as it moves, stopping to admire the performances of dancers, musicians and acrobats along the way. Every street will become a stage, every monument a backdrop, and every spectator will be invited to take an active part in this journey between dream and reality.
